Default ECU REPAIR which element is this?

    hello to all,
I have here some SIEMENS car ECU to repair:
somebody connected the starter cables wrong

The element which "took off" is now temporarily replaced with a capacitor (see the black burned pcb) - it looks exactly the same like the above element on the picture marked "SJ 41".

Which kind of element is that (SJ 41), I suppose that is some kind of electrolyte capacitor? Can anybody tell me the caracteristics of "SJ41" so that I could replace it? (original burned out and had 0 Ohms (short circuit) ).
Otherwise I will try with the soldered capacitor on the picture...

Will be very glad for an answer

Hi, the SJ 41 is a diode, but I cannot help you with the specification.

Thought you said you had bad eyesight, now i understand that the poster means.

Suggest an ADT diode (any damm thing) as long as it is a minimum of 1 scamp

Thanks for Cristec for pointing that out.

no mate, we are so alike in our work and working practisises, it's just a self portrait.

No time to look for link, but there is an anti stalking act of 1997, not that i would know about things like that.

BUT if you ever leave flowers and chocolates on a (single) birds doorstep, you NEVER get thanks, just snotty e-mails!
