Default Mini R56 DME swap N16 engine

Hey guys, I swapped mini R56 DME N16 but I am getting fault code 3045 PROTECTION AGAINST TAMPERING SWT: ENGINE-SPEED LIMITATION, STAGE 2'. What do I need to do to fix it?

It's because it is missing the enabling codes. Normally you don't need them but if the ECU was originally programmed for a One an enabling code is required if you want to use it on a Cooper.
I think you can just get the enabling code from the dealer and load it using FStool or ISTA, but I am not sure. Other options are resetting the running hours to 0 using BMW Explorer or just programming the One software (and optionally manually tune it to a Cooper later)
Another option is to clone the entire ECU if you can still read the original. You can't copy the OTP but it does not matter.

Thanks for replying mate and sorry for coming back late. I tried cloning the DME at first but unfortunately the problem is within the software which comes up with intake vanos actuator movement fault and cloning the DME doesnt change the behaviour of the dme. I was also not aware from which mini my replacement dme come and it turns out to be from a cooper while the original is from a One which confirms the need for an enabling code. Here in South Africa I don't think a dealership will be much of help unless I bought the DME from them. Isn't anything I can do in the dump to clear the fault?

What tools do you have? Do you have an INPA cable and working WinKFP?

Guess what, with CGDI BMW I put back old dme, program it online and the vanos fault is gone and DME is behaving normal except it does not give me check engine light when unplug sensor from engine but faults do register in DME.
