Default Audi A4 RB4 crypto 2001+ cannot write

    Hi guys,

I made swap from old maxidot to color maxidot RB4 on A4 B6 2003.

I bought RB4 color dashboard, read pin with FVDI ....

adapt to car...all fine, re-learn keys....

    car was starting...

Then I tried to rewrite km....I read dashboard, but when I click recalibrate
    fvdi is just connecting....notthing happened.

now immo status is changed to "1", car was not starting / I must done immo off in EDC15/.

Strange is that I cant read dashboard more then once...I must wait, unplug all...after 10 minutes I can read it again.
but cannot write I looks like when trying recalibrate km, it cant start session with dashboard...

    any help guys?

AVDI reads and writes these dashboards very well. MDC does it very well

Hi , I haved the same problem two days ago . Instrument with immo status 1 after pin code retrival l with with AVDI . AVDi clone can't change immo status on RB4 cluster , only on RB8. I dcide to change KM with digiprog3 . While DG3 is attempting to read the cluster it had change the immo status to 4 ( new cluster state from dealer (VW-AUDI). But this is not enought. Then I used VAG Eeprogramer V1.19 with KKL cable to change the status from 4 to 6 . This program works fine either with RB4 and RB8 cluster . But it have the function to change thi immo status from 4 to 6 and vice versa. I hope it will be usefull information.

I forgot to explane that I did't try to change immo status directly from 1 to 6 with VAG EEprogramer . Maybe you can make it in this way.

try to read and set the desired condition of the dashboard, then unplug USB and reconnect.
    press save

For future bosh rb4 (seen on a site)

For RB4(AUDI A4 B6 model (immo3) (2001-2004/2005)) - read eeprom / save / open with nyo and change mileage / load eeprom / write new eeprom

Works with V18 and V21 version of fvdi 2014
