    Default MPPS 13.02 with Passat 3C 1.9 BLS R4 1,9L EDC G000SG

    Hi Guys,

my tool is a MPPS v13 china clone - Software is Mpps v12.

i did a readout on my Passat with MPPS setting 1.9 BOSCH TDI PD 16U34 K-LINE/CAN

    Bosch Hardware Number: 03G906021AB
    Vw Software Number: 03G906021RQ
    System Type Number: R4 1,9L EDC G000SG
    Ecu Found on Can

worked and gave me 2048KB did it 3 time with filecompare - always the same
sent the file to tuner and he remapped and did the new checksum

now i should flash it back - my question is - is it SAFE to flash with that Hardware: MPPS V13.02 (SE74)? I dont want to brick ECU... or ist it safe anyways as it only writes back the DATA AREA READ ONLY?

In Step 2 - can somebody revie my tuning fille and tell me the opinion - thanks

    Thanks in advance?

    Simon

    Hi,

With a clone you are always taking a risk, I have learnt the hard way. I managed to remap my a2 using the clone but failed and bricked my ECU on my skoda octavia. Question is how hard is it for you to take the ECU out the car if you do managed to end up bricking it? And you will then need to buy a BDM reader, if you plan to do it yourself. Personally I would do it but again are you willing to take the risk??

Sorry cannot review your file as I don't know how to.
