And was surprised today with this 10 year old Skoda -made me thankful of Abrites.
Still pleased but realise definitely a gap filling tool and many will be disappointed here in a UK/European market to expect a full solution.
Maybe in a years time things will change Martin as with development things change quickly
all tools fail on things they shouldnt fail on , ive had a number of old audi that everything including abrites and AD and supervag etc all failed on , even fail to get comms on with some , every one of these vag tacho saved the day , and dont get me started on beetle which again vag tacho saved the day , so all tools have their gaps. an ideal world would be 1 tool is a complete solution for euro cars , but i havnt found one yet , i suspect if one is ever released it wont be a 3k tool either.
more and more manufacturers are now going online , especially on new releases in a bid to protect their investments and thwart the cloners , i wonder if the market hadnt deserted the main players to invest in clones and if clones were not so heavily supported would this be the case today , i dont know , but if the case i guess we reap what we sew. online can be a balls ache , but with good wifi in the vehicle i get by.
it seems that alot of tools are now opting for online especially as systems become more complex , it also looks like most manufacturers now aim their products at workshops and garages than mobile auto locksmiths , the mobile auto locksmiths are a far smaller market , plus the auto locksmiths favoured china over main manufacturers , so they aim at a new market that is bigger where stable internet isnt an issue .
the market is what it is , part our own making and part supplier greed , the one thing you can be sure of is as manufacturers up their game the kit will get dearer , i think online will be the future and something we must learn to live with
The 608 isn’t perfect but no tool is.
A lot of complaints about servers but like ACDP this device does not like being tethered to a phone or mobile hotspots it prefers a dedicated WiFi connection through a decent dongle
If your prepared to go through systems and models in event of a fail most are in there.
The tool is strong for the money and improving all the time. The diagnostics side is very capable and immo side in my opinion is only going to get better in time

Well then this tool is off my list as I'm off the phone in the van, no good to me if no connection, strange thing is most mobile operators change ip address regularly, but your device ID remains the same is this causing problems ?
