Subaru Outback 2021 USA AKL can't do it. This car have another procedure to lean a key. Haven't menu Reset smart box. ((
I need reset Smart Key ECU (SMT Main ECU 88801AN000) + Steering Lock ECU. Have any body idea how can do it, not for free)
May be some other device may reset this unit? If not possible, I may read MCU and eprom from it, and get dump for clear.

I have done 3 push to start 21 outbacks here in US with 608. Yes you need internet and you will need to reset system 16mn.

You can't read the smart box or can't add the key?

I could not read using the autel cable, the sockets in the smart ecu are very delicate, and a small mistake in inserting the penis can do irreversible damage
I bought a new cable today with good connections, which will replace the autel cable

It's add key, but if it is for sure Autel cannot do it, the KS518 fails on it and Abrites/Avdi (official license) fails on it, i will pass since I don't have the TMPro license for this activated (my TMPro2 is sitting in a box and the software is not even installed). The keys I can get are OEM but customer comes from far... not a good idea to start experimenting too much while he is in the 'waiting room'


This is just what makes it a risk to do - Autel says it supports it and checking the function it looks like it's all there (reading immo data, making dealer key, programming it, etc). Would love to give it a try just for the sake of it but not on a car from a customer far off who wishes for 2 new keys and will be whining when it cannot be done, better to leave it alone then. Maybe sometimes if it's one closer to home or if I spot one at one of my cartrader customers.

Perhaps it is no longer relevant, I just saw the topic, but I did alfa romeo brera on such a key. Filmed TEG and wrote on dump 24С04 tango, only opened via fiat. After that, I turned on the ignition, then I started the key registration procedure using Multiecuscan, a pin code is not needed for this. The car started and the remote worked. The key was used, they made it new before I wrote it down my colleagues, with which tool I did not ask.
