    Default Corsa D ECU

    Hello

    Using vauxcom

I’ve done quite a few resets ( no crank no start) but not ECU replacement.

Question is if ECU is replaced with second hand one do I need code for old ECU or do I just recode with same code from BCM ?

    Thanks in advance 👍🏻

    Thanks Optima 👍🏻

So don’t need pincode for donor ECU just reset with Vauxcom and enter same code as BCM ?

If ECU was reset before (virgin) you just need code from carpass from car.
If ECU was not reset, you need old code from donor ecu to reset it and after learn with code from carpass

    Thanks exe 👍🏻

ECU isn’t virginised and don’t have car pass. I have TDB1000 that might pull code from ECU if plugged into car. Failing that I’ll have to get one with code

Don’t know what ECU it is going to job tomorrow optima it’s for a local auto electrician. Just checked TDB won’t do it. I’ll get him to chase car pass.

I know engine code is Z10XEP

Thank you for your help 👍🏻

Its me7.6.2 if you have smok avdi or even fvdi they will read code from engine ecu in car
You will put s/h ecu in car read engine code then reset it then program with code from car
all above will read eeprom from ecu and should be able to program it back there are more programmers out there capable of this i always reset and program back with Tech 2

Will FVDI read donor ECU code from OBD or can it only be done by eprom ?

OBD. ME7.6.x is hybrid ecu. Very difficult to read eeprom by programmer.

FVDI if working correctly will read eeprom by obd no problem and should be able reset it

Used TDB1000 to get codes gave me 3 different codes one for IPC ( 1920 ) one for DTS ( 8599 ) and one for engine (1919 ) then plugged in Vauxcom and reset modules and programmed key. Cleared fault codes as I went and reset ECU and BCM.

Code from engine ( 1919 ) was accepted on all modules and car started. Wouldn’t accept other 2 codes in modules.

Don’t ask how it worked or how the magic happened just done the above and it started and fob remote worked also
