Default Help with 2004 Jaguar XJ6 dash change (mph->kmh)

Hello, has anybody changed mph dashboard to kmh one? The car is 2004 Jaguar XJ6 (3.0 petrol), with Visteon dash. How I can change dashboard without loosing odometer readings? As far as I have read, when changing into the same type, copying EEPROM data does the trick (as keys, odometer reading and other data is stored in dash). But how about different dash types? Can EEPROM data be copied in the same way? If yes, what kind of chip is in this dash and which programmer/tool can do data transfer?

One of the main problems are that:
    1) Using OEM level equipment (VCM2+JLR SDD 158) won't allow changing mileage ("new" dashbord has ~280.000km vs current (and original) 160.000km).
    1) I don't know the type of chip is in the dashboard, alas I don't know which tool to use to at least read data from EEPROM.

What I can tell from "new" dash, it's Visteon:
    FPN: 2W9F-10849-BL
    Serial#: 5417
    NVM: 01 ROM:25 JuL-02 TestSW:3.15

for just the one car its better to source used dash and code keys and do kms if required as this is not straight forward
