No mention of scanner, no live data, no testing = no crystal ball.

    ON TOPIC:-

No, but there is a production car, don’t know which one, that does this as a feature.

what happens is at traffic lights the cooling fan is activated by the a/c which the air scoop sucks in fresh
hot air which is less dense.

    OFF TOPIC AND ON TOPIC:-

cheet corvette C4 has an electric fan like a vacuum cleaner, to stop this issues
    no idea if Audi has.

    ON TOPIC:-

see if pipe on air filter box loose, or is it aftermarket air filter?

rember dk thanks button goes a long way

Brother, Q7 has problem with water in ECU. Ecu is located on right side under hood, near windshield. Open ECU, and check it inside

You need to read live data while driving and capture the problem.
    Car was remmaped before?
Check if faults codes are not switched off in ecu

A problem with the turbine actuator, the motor inside the actuator, or the turbine jams when heated

    Gone quiet this one.
Guessing he finally went out and took some readings; it had that much power on the highway all live data went to 11, but then lost so much power in traffic he never made it back home to report it.
Shame really, at least somone will find him and report in the UFO section
