Civic x 2017 smart key

I have Civic 2016, model year 2017 from US market. I bought used smart key. I try to add this key with launch x431 to car, but not working.
Do I need to renew remote, or only new remotes will work.?

You dont need to buy new keys t civic x.
I added used key today with launch x431.
