Default Kenwood DNX8170DAB Code from NAND Chip

Evening all, I bought a Kenwood DNX8170DAB but unfortunately the seller completely forgot the security code that he setup when first installed. So as soon as the unit was removed from the car it now asks for a security code. I have tried the code that he thinks it might be but no luck.

I have now removed the NAND Chip from the unit and read the chip.

Is anyone able to point me in the right direction where in the file the code is stored?
I have the file but even zipped down it's 52.56MB so am unable to upload here.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Try code 2226 or 0000. New algorithm so I can't find it.
If you can get the code please post your answer here

Then I suggest entering the codes one after the other 0000-9999. The radio does not block

    First I would start with these 0123 1234 1111 2222 3333 ....... and all codes from 19xx

Hi Raimax, I tried all the codes from 0000 - 9999 but still no joy.
What I forgot to mention is on this unit, it is possible to enter a code with 8 digits in total, 4 being the minimum.

    Thanks,
    Mark.

    Incredible. Maybe you missed something?

Security code can be set 4 digit only

hopefully I didn’t miss any but just incase I have so far gone through and tried the following codes again.

    0000-0100
    1900-1999
    5000-9999

I have attached a picture which shows how many numbers it’s possible to enter.
One other thing I can get into the unit if I point the remote and type 55222277 which is apparently a back door code. But as soon as I turn off the unit with power still applied, it asks for the code still.

im wondering if by entering the back door code is has
    corrupted
