This radio is VIN coded

Thank you, I am not sure I follow tho.
Its asking for unlock code. I can edit the vin in dump but I have a feeling it would still ask for unlock code so are you saying the unlock code is coded by VIN and not serial# so I would need to retrieve the VIN from radio and use this to get the unlock code? What is my best course of action to get it unlocked?

The problem is that even dump code algo is not well known.

The best way is to change VIN.

Ok thank you for the information, I think I have the original radio repaired now so it may not matter but if I was to change the VIN in the 24lc32 then it would be unlocked with out the code?
