Default LR discovery 2011 - "fat" proxy key

    hi all,

    got a AKL on a 2011 disco 4 tomorrow.
customer has said proxy key was FAT chunky type, as seen in attachment.

I have 1 in stock so OK, but couple questions.

    1. Can we use newer slim type, found in 2012 models onwards? same TP and FCCID it seems

    2. Is programming just as easy, never done one of these chunky remotes, as the newer slim? I have used lonsdor which in the past done these in 30 seconds on 2012 models.

    thanks!

my tools tell me what SW is on KVM before asking to do program key,

i know to look for FK72 which is update version, if i see this i would stop process and remove KVM.

Coding slim key to the car with “fat” key works fine with AVDI. Just tried one today and all ok
