    Default BMW X5 E70 4.8i 2009 CAS3+ 0L15Y Lost Keys - ISN Request & CAS3+ Check Please

    Hi All,

I have a 2009 BMW X5 4.8i which I have made every effort to extract the ISN.

    VIN: LK28683

    CAS Part No. 61.35-9227106-01

Heres the story as I know it - The customer lost the keys and car was locked (hence untampered with). Vehicle opened and CAS3+ removed. Either way, I have an EEPROM dump from the 0L15Y before keys were programmed, and I have a dump from the EEPROM & FLASH for the 0L15Y after an attempt with BMW Multi Tool which took an ISN read by CGDI. That ISN I believe to be wrong as the vehicle accepted the key but refused to turn on, also the ECU only has a 4 Bit ISN being an ME9.2.

I have checked the before and after dumps on the BMW Editor CAS3+ software and it doesn't show a DME ISN, it does show the EGS ISN which is 8 Bits. No matter what soft I put this through, I can't get the correct 16 Bit ISN. I do now know that the CGDI is unable to get the correct ISN from CAS3+.

Please assist me in getting the correct ISN from dump, I have seen multiple posts with those who have the right software (which I wish I had) helping to get ISN from dump, please kindly assist me.

    All Dumps are attached!

    Cheers!

    Ruwi

Thanks for your reply, and yes I agree that the 4 Bit ISN match, BUT, I require the 16 Bit ISN to make the key. That isn't something I can do with a 4 Bit...

Ok, but then is there a way around it if I must forget about that ISN, or am I wrong somewhere? I can take constructive criticism... Cheers!

I am wrong... I need a 32 Digit ISN from CAS3+. I can't extract as no working key, DME & EGS cant provide. Even if someone knows a paid for service for this... I just need this vehicle resolved.

    Thanks again!

The ISN worked to make a key with Tango and start the vehicle, Thank you! I thought I was through until I tried to shift from Park to Reverse out of the workshop, it has an immo fault on the EGS and it appears that the EGS has to be reset &/or synced.

Maybe someone has a suggestion as to the correct method, or some further info?

    Cheers!

I'm still stuck with this one.. The EGS allows communication and diagnostics, but any procedures using any tools such as WinKFP present the 'ECU Rejected' error, usually on diagnostics this can happens to me when the security condition isn't correct, eg. attempting to open trunk, with ignition on and an unrecognised key.

So I have no secure access right now, i'm in the process of installing ISTA D now, and i'll give feedback once I have that up and running. Now there are 3 of these E70 X5 waiting in a similar condition.

    Thanks all!

Ruwi, did it only start first attempt, but then would not start again afterwards?

I am having similar issues with ISTAP CAS3++ at the moment on my car, so I am interested in the solution. I don't think ISTA D will help you I have that up and running on mine.
I'm considering ordering a Xhorse VVDI2 BMW as it seems to support, but I've seen some bad reviews too.
