Best way to explain which radio we talking about is to use a part number.

If you don't have CP active and unit have all activations , you can install patch and use can filter. *(can filter is not required if unit have SW not higher than 02xx, SW can b higher of 02xx in cars with ''old speedometer'' ...up to ''2012'' )

When unit have CP active we have to first
    - remove CP
    - active all features
    - install patch
    - use can filter if unit or car required

There is small problem with activation , they can b active but different way , so even if you remove CP by VW you still have to install a patch.

Some people think patch will fix radio , remove CP or active features . That is not true ! ! Patch only AVOID active CP.

There is a video on youtube how to install patch in unit.

I working on does units over 2 years and know only a basic things so if i said something wrong just comment and correct me...

Same Patches can be use on MIB PQ35 and MIB2 Units made by Technisat and Preh ,
We can find them in Seat , VW , Skoda ,
i never have radio like that comes of audi.

I can do remove cp and activate all features without the need of a patchboard or a CAN filter all done by sw mod.
