Question ECU replacement - swap 27c256 to pair immo?

    Hi everyone,
I have a Seat Toledo 2.0 16v (1997) and I need to change the ECU.

    Original ECU:
    037906024BE 5WP4 237

    I bought a replacement ECU:
    037906024BE 5WP4 304

The replacement ECU is from VW Golf MK3 GTI 2.0 16v.

Is it enough just to swap the 27C256QE200 from the original to the replacement ECU to pair up the immobilizer?

    Thanks in advance!

    Thanks!
Is 27c256 soldered or it can be pulled and re-seated without any tools?

For some reason, it didn't work. The car still starts and turns off after 2 seconds. Any thoughts, guys?

I took the new ECU to a local service and paid for immo off (I think). The guy told me to unplug the immo box and short-circuit pins 2 and 3 before pluging back the new ECU. Is this really needed?

    Thanks!

Here the picture of the old ECU:
    IMG_20191123_184559.jpg

Swapped the EPROMs (27c256) - no ignition (turns off after 2 seconds).

I gave both ECUs, old and new, to the local service, paid for pairing, went back to my car and tried the new ECU - no ignition (turns off after 2 seconds).

Took it back to the service, they did immo off and gave me the instructions to unplug the immo box and short-circuit pins 2 and 3. Based on my research, Pin 2 is K line, pin 3 is W line.

If that has to be done, what's the easiest way to get to the immo box, so that I can short-circuit the pins?

Tc97101p which is 93c56 Eprom That Where Your Immo Is Located. So yes it is necessary to remove immo box, but no need to cut any pins, do you have any equipment to read file from old ecu? And clone them that is easy to do, or maybe swap them that is easy to do as well, immo box should be easy to locate after removing the cluster it is on the right corner behind the cluster.cluster must be removed to exposed mini box.

Now if the immo off solution that you paid for it does not work, this is the next step read original data from old ecu, upload dump here and we will immo of file for you, all you have to do is remove immo box, plug ecu and the car will run

Thanks, Alexandros! I like tech, but I don't have the equipment to read the EPROM. I'll try to disconnect the immo box.

Can you please explain in a bit more detail where the immo box is located? How to access it easily? Is it below the steering wheel? Feel free to write and explain in Greek, I have a friend that can translate it to me.

Lol.Ok so I have no picture at this point showing me where is located exactly at the vehicle, but I assume that nearly all vags during that year they hide immo box under the cluster, pull out the cluster and on the right side use a flashlight and it should be there. You can't miss it
