    Default A6 C6 ECU swap

    Hello.
I have an Audi A6 4F 3.0TDI 2006 and i want to do a ECU swap with a used ECU i bought from eBay.
I read on rosstech that i need old and new PIN.
What tools do i need to find out the PIN ? VagTacho is ok for this model of ECU (EDC16) ?
    Thanks in advance.

Read your original ecu using ecu programmers like KTAG, FGTECH etc and transfer it to second hand ecu.

    No canít do that.
My original ECU is with stock map.
The used ECU has ABT tunning map.

Long story short, both ECUís have the same P/N.
Mine is stock, the other one (used) is from a car with modifyed software by ABT Tunning.

you can add the used ECU to the car, but the procedure from Ross-Tech using the PIN code on the A6 C6 does not work. you need dedicated diagnostic equipment for Immo.
you can still try to rewrite only eeprom

Yes, the easiest way should be reading and writing eeprom data from original ECU to new ECU or reading flash from new ECU and write to original ECU. Everything via BDM port. ECU is secured with breakaway bolts.

I do not want to read and write eeprom.

I just want to know what tool do i need to find out the old and new pin.
Wondering if VagTacho works with this model of ECU (P/N 4F0 907 401 B).

    I don't know what you expect ?
I wrote to you that in the C6 model you need the PIN for nothing and you won't do anything with it
To adopt this ECU, you need to sell. to Immo. PIN, CS, MAC, PC needed for adaptation. the ability to do ImmoOff too

You donít know what you are talking about.
There is no need to do IMMO Off on A6 C6 because it has another module (under the steering wheel, on the steering column) where the IMMO info is.
The car starts just fine without the Instrument Cluster or with another ECU.
The problem is that the VIN number must be adapted on the NEW/USED ECU.
To adapt the VIN you must have the PIN for the old/original ECU and the new/used ECU.

P.S I expect what i asked earlyer, to find out what tool i need to find the PINs.

From the begining, i wanted to find out with what tool i can find the PIN.

Then you deviated the disscution to IMMO , etc. Irrelevant, i just want to know the PIN.

Or did you saw me asking about IMMO, EEPROM, CS, etc ? When did i did that ? Because the is all you are talking about.

If you know the answer to my question ďVagTacho works with this ECU?Ē, please respond, if not, please keep calm and donít reply.

    Spam?

From the begining i asked a question.
    You all deviated the disscution.

Firstly, the procedure from rosstech works just fine.
I replaced The ECU on another A6 with that procedure. But then i had the PINís from both ECU, now i donít.

You donít even know where the immobilizer is on a A6 C6 but you still continue to talk crap.

thanks for explaining where the immo is located...
in post 9 you had demonstrated a big part of your knowledge...
    and again, stop spaming...
