    Default Audi A6 4G steering / g85 problem

    Hello

I have a problem with this car . I cannot calibrate the G85 sensor.

If I start the car with the wheels straight the sensor shows as calibrated , power steering works .
The problem is I can only turn the wheel half a turn to the left. In the right direction goes all the way.
With the wheels straight if I measure the G85 angle it shows as 350-360 degres.

If I turn the wheel all the way to the left with the engine off , then I start the engine the steering wheel light in the dash turns yellow and I can turn the wheel all the way but the power steering doesn’t work.

I tried the procedure from Ross Tech to calibrate the G85 sensor.
I enter the security code , enter Basic settings , but when I want to activate it says Error Group 001 Not Available

Please provide relevant details as to work evidently carried out on the vehicle.
Why has it lost calibration? Steering wheel remove and G85 spun around? New G85? New rack?

"Can only turn the wheel half a turn to the left"- meaning you hit the limit of the rack?? Or power steering is limiting?

I think I found the problem ... The car was in a crash and it had a problem with the gearbox.

I spoke with the mechanic that worked on the car and he said he disconected the steering column from the steering rack so he could work on the gearbox...
And I think when he put it back he turned the steering wheel one turn to the left ..

    I will check tomorow
