Default Search for best tool to read and write EDC17C46

I want to clone a edc17c46 ECU just for my pleasure and doing it myself.
Do you have any suggestions that are still affordable?
This ist not my business so a cheap (but good) clone ist preferred.

    First research.
    KTAG Version ???
    KESS Version ???
    MAGPRO X17 ??? - Clone exist?

until now, they donīt clone mm products...
with kess clone itīs posible, but a lot of useres cry after done work ecu dead...
ktag, some users write that a rework is required others write that they have succesfully done without a rework...

check pcmflash SW module 71 is still cheap compared to the big player...

The Site https://ecutools.eu/chip-tuning/pcmflash/ list module 50 to work with EDC17C46.
The module is offered at 151 Bucks.

What do I need else to use module 50?

Could a USB/ODB2-Interface J2534 really read the ECU?

Now I'm a little confused. If this module can only be used to write, what do I do to backup the old ECU?

module 71 and or module 53 for booting,...
for a beginner itīs easier with 71, not need to open ecu...
you also need HW, for example scanmatik 2Pro...

or choose solution clone ktag, whole in one and cheap...

This sounds good. But I still have a lot to read. At the moment there are still many open questions.
    - Where to buy?
    - EU or not EU-Clone?
    - Red colour or any other?
    - Rework needed?
    - and so on ...
