Default CD400 Vin Change with CRC

Could someone help, I need the VIN changing in the attached file to suite W0LPD6EC9A8043617

Also does this eprom hold the options, I would like to enable USB and BT (this radio already has BT) I have read you need globaltis, I have access but I also read that it will not allow you to change the options as they are matched to the vin, is this correct ? or can I just select a different calibration file (I havent tried) I have how ever updated the modules

    Thank you in anticipation

Not enough room for a non-smd device, also why would you???
Can use a Chip-Clip but not recommended

I think becuase of the signal type I might be able to run the socket wired, I'm sure you are familiar with the cruze forums in the USA, On there one of there more learned users is saying he has (20') out the whole VIN and then the radio acts as though its a first install, I have a spare cd400 I'm going to try this out on, and he doesnt mention the 2 hex bits that you change (checksum) and it seems many have tried it, you mention a test mode ?? if the bytes are not set

Also can you comment on the calibration files I questioned above please

    Regards

On the right side, look for a string of numbers that look like a VIN. It is usually only a few lines down from the top. It is always missing the first number of the VIN. Replace it with your VIN (minus the first number) by simply highlighting each letter on the right side and typing in your VIN. Then program back the chip and you’re done.
StLouisCPhT also found that you only have to clear the VIN. (Make it "00" in the Hex portion.) When you power up the radio in it's new car, it will learn the car's VIN.

Has anyone here tried this, I will over weekend

I dont have a problem, I'm inquisitive and I like to know how, you fixed the eeprom dump for me however I would of prefered to of done it myself, I just couldn't work out the two digit checksum or how it associated to the vin string, as the rest of the file is identical

I will try blanking the lot including the check digits and see what the result in the eeprom dump is after ive plugged it in, if the USA guy is right I guess the check digit should match the ones you changed the bin to, that is if I get it to work at all

    Thank you Shooting

I have today fitted the Bluetooth OEM upgrade and used the BIN file you corrected for me, I read the original radio eeprom and the check digits were indeed exactly as you had set them in my fixed file.

Does anyone know what other information this file holds as far as options go, I can see it holds the tuned stations in the radio

I want to enable USB on the radio and possibly DAB, I know I can send it away to be done for a cost, but would love to try and do it myself, I have access to globaltis and I now have a spare CD400

    Thanks all
