    Default opel astra j a13dte egr issue

    Hi all i am having issue with this egr.I have p0404-5b code.I checked the plug and i found that first pin must have 12v but the real is 4.34v.The strange is that after i put the ignition off volt is 12.what i have here?ecu problem?i think is edc17c19

    Hi!
    How you know on the pin1 should be 12V?
    The dtc is for an egr out of calibration I think. That would mean the feedback signal is to high or to low-out of spec.
    I saw such of problem on some vag cars.

    What about the gnd wiring in the connector?
    Do you checked for a good gnd?

    yes i have checked the ground is ok.haynes-pro has diagram and i saw there for the pin 1

    if i had signal wire off must dtc was no signal is it right?

    in vw cars when i have a broken wire from signal i have dtc no signal.In opel is the same or i must check and signal wires?because i stopped to the pin 1.Yes i will upload

    I got it.
    Yes. The same as in Vw cars.
    But your case is not a NO signal.
    You probably have some voltage on the feed back wire but out of specification.
    That could also be a mechanical problem inside the egr.
