Even read, but I've made that one with FVDI and everything luckily goes fine. But you have to be patient and wait even when you think that program hangs
Key locked in car so customer looking a spare will just clone original with KD tool and do remote with Xtool pad 2
I don't think that you can clone this remote - if it work soon will be stoped
Its better to program Audi key if you don't have Seat

He meant clone transponder which is the safest option dealing with Seat Exeo. And as said above, I confirm that remote 8e0 for Audi A4 B7 works.
Yes P1et going to clone transponder with KD tool and use OEM Audi A4 remote I’ll program remote side with xtool pad. Your right Manta apparently cloned or KD remotes do drop out.
Thanks for advice all 👍🏻
Hi,
Anyone recent have done spare key on Seat Exeo?
I know cloning is best and easiest way, but just wondering which tool can do it good…
Is the dash RB8? Can it be done with Vvdi2?
Thanks in advance.
Not recently. But anytime I touched an RB8 dash I spent up to several hours attempting to reprogram just the original key back. It is a situation similar to external IMMO on VAG where you go through the process of programming but the car simply does not accept any transponder. Luckily I never ended up with a dead dash so not sure how the cluster gets "damaged", but it never was a simple job. I doubt there have been any changes to the program in recent years considering the newest cars are 16 years old at this point, and I have seen newer and more common vehicles being pushed out of development from software makers.
I used ADVI to do it. Considering VVDI2 has copied AVDI on the older car platforms it should be just as good (or just as bad) in programming it.
My advice, if you are gonna attempt it make sure to do a full back up of the cluster data while in working state so you can revert back to the beginning if a problem should arise.
