Default Suzuki grand vitara ect sensor

Hi guys got this 2002 grand vitara in with the peugeot 2.0 hdi RHZ engine. The problem i have is the temp sensor reading wrong. Its the one on the rear of the head, blue 3 pin. So far its had 4 new sensors all with different faults. One only moves 5 mil then drops off, another runs up to the red in only 10 mins but engine is cool at 65 deg c. I know how to test a 1 pin sensor or a 4 pin sensor, but the blue 3 pin i don,t. So has any kind sole got a wiring diagram or any tips on testing these instead of fitting them, only to find another faulty one, i would be very grateful.

    VAGUE MODE ON:-

    OFF TOPIC:-

rumor states, but im unable to back this claim up with hard facts, same sensor
    on fiat ducato 2002-20??

    ON TOPIC:-

Sorry, my mind gone to mush right now, but as your an awesome member
sure you can work out what is what pin is ground, then look at reistanse when cold
warm up with cup of hot water, each of your senders, work out which resuancse
is what look at live data ecu tgen gauge on dash. Treat tgem as “two separate jobs”

See if you can wire brush and UB40 the orginal sensor for the bosch number
see if has different readings on side of it.

not sure on that vehicle but i “have” one if tgem sensors, disconnect battery before going further
    (fiat ducato)

also get a pin and remove the inner core. 2 mins each one and poke the inner ‘blades’
    in so they contact pin

Last one was £25+VAT from dealer

Wont argue use led test probe. Find gnd on car

then set meter to 200k then work backwards
ok thats the ‘wrong’ is thing to do, check you have meter reading through your body

for all we know, stood naked on our stairs at home, could be wiring shorted to starter
or thar coolant bottle filled ecu with water and frying sensors

Wont argue can you get test data for pug 406 sensor ohms reading

Maybe worth checking a peugeot RHZ engined diagram on autodate etc possibly same ecu pin out as your vitara ?
Today is the Tomorrow you worried about yesterday ......Was it worth it ?

Thanks for taking time to read my post. It really annoys me when something that should be simple, throws you a curve ball. I have looked on AD and haynes pro, but problematic when the jobs keep coming in and this gets pushed further and further down the list.

Are you sure we are talking about the RHZ engine? Because both ECU variants used on this engine use 2-wire resistive ECT. Do not deal with an unsuccessful attempt to modify.

Nope, all standard wiring, and original. I have also found a small bleed back pipe that goes from top of the head, near the injectors, back to header tank. This seems to be different to the RHZ fitted to pug,s. This has to be bled to stop over heating. This information was from the engineers who do head skims etc, standard to Suzuki RHZ. The blue 3 pin ECT sensor is listed in all parts books with EDC15C2, including some others.

Yes, but only two pins are used. Why not try measuring sensors, to see if there is any good among them? Determining the resistance variation with temperature is as in the picture.
