Default Grand Cherokee 2011 - Panic mode as soon as battery is connected!

A local “mechanic” forcefully pushed in the start button into the key fob slot and the pulled it with claws or a hammer and it got destroyed.

I replaced the whole module and now I would like to connect my scanner/pass trough and program it. The problem is that originally the car would not turn to run/on and the horn and lights keep flashing/active.

I was thinking that I should be able to communicate and program the old key but since the ignition is not switching to on, the OBD2 does not have power.

I have tried unplugging the battery and tested the fuses. Also, the car keeps flashing lights and horn just as Panic mode even with the old module.

you dont need ignition ON to have 12V on the OBD - OBD always must have 12V - if there isn't power check the fuses

if you have power on the obd but dont have comunication you can force ignition ON

    - short OBD pin 1 to pin 16
    or
    - find the ignition relay and short it

Default Grand Cherokee 2011 - Panic mode as soon as battery is connected!

I do have power on the OBD2 port but no communication.

I will try to short the ignition relay.

I returned to the car today. There a lot of relays related to the ignition. If some can tell me where the anti theft module is, I will gladly remove it in an effort to bypass it.

I request some reinforcements "an actual mechanic" and he did something near the fuse box that actually turned the instrument cluster on and the ignition. I was able to connect to the can network and program the replaced module. However when trying to program the key with my autopropad; it says "programming success number of keys 0" and the keys are not programmed at all. Any suggestions on how to proceed please?

if you install a new immo module, or erase all key
you must either A) renew key or B) program virgin key
key becomes locked when paired to module
maybe you can dump old module and write to new module eeprom but this I have not done on that particular system

Update: new key does not program either. It is weird that the new module pin code is 0000
