CAN gateway burned, "Component protection" , help or advice.

Hello everyone..

I need help or advice. On my car, a 2012 Audi A4 B8, a fire broke out, air conditioning, a dashboard, radio and a CAN gateway burned.

I installed other used parts, and I have a problem that the CAN gateway burned out, and i installed another. since I didn't know there would be "Component protection" problems

. I was able to read the eeprom from the burnt CAN gateway. At the beginning of the bin file it can be seen that it was "8R0907468G 0051", but I can't find one, I have "8R0907468L".

Authorized service is 100km away, i called them as well, they want a gateway of 350€ plus programming for only around 300€, i have to put the car on the trailer and take the same to them.

Bdw. the car starts the engine normally, it says "SAFE" on the dashboard.

Advice please ... what can I do?

New or used can gateway and reinstall component protection .

If the car runs no need to tow it away?
Where are u located? I think a lot of guys have odis online now adays and the can help you to adapt this on location.

Ortherwise buy yourself a vas interface and someone helps you with the service.

modul 8R0907468G, converts to 8R0907468M, 8R0907468S - but this 8R0907468L should handle everything. new modul in AUDI Dealer cost 180Euro netto - I don't know why this price is 350 euros ??

as now you have 8R0907468L mounted, then you need to add the module to the vehicle and unlock Component Protection. it's best to do ODIS with someone who has Online access

it will definitely cost much less than in Audi Dealer (and Audi Dealer, as you wrote 300euro - where does this price come from?)

The car works, but it says "safe" on the dashboard. it shows nothing.

This idea with you interface and "TeamViewer". we like it the most for now. and i think i can organize it ..

I live in Croatia, exclusive dealer and service, is in Zagreb, Zubak auto. They also said they could sell the 8R0907468S gateway.
