    Depends on what cars you want to fix. Normally 1 tool is not enough. The most professional tool is probably Dashcoder. A cheap option which covers a good range of cars is "SD11 -> Simplediag - Odometer package".

    There are slot of posts on the forum, the culmination of which will answer your question. I suggest investing in quality soldering equipment and an eeprom programmer in order to begin, then as needed, invest in a more "plug and play" unit.

    I suggest you start with UPA or any epprom programmer, with upa you can do eeprom and MCU which is a great tool, a lots of script here on the forum can help you, just like morrisgauge said as needed start moving toward the expensive tools. I personally high recommend UPA to anyone, one tool can support many eeprom and mcu. Buena Suerte

    Don't waste your time searching for a perfect obd2 tool, it doesn't exist. I prefer always old school. ...it's safer and cheaper if you know how to use Brain.exe
