Default Enabling J1939 on DDEC iV marine engine

    Hello all,

I have a marine Series 60 Detroit Diesel engine (DDEC IV, software 32.8). I believe that it is possible to extract J1939 data from the engine's "Communication Port" but I don't think that this is enabled by default - certainly I am not detecting anything on the relevant pins.

I have the DDDL and DDCT software and can connect fine to the ECM. Can anyone help walk me through how I should go about enabling the J1939 output without risking damage to the rest of my ECM settings?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

    Tom
