I had similar problems aith the older version if TL866. I asked the support team for help and they responded very quiclky. They released a new firmware.
Conclusion, TL866 xx is a good tool and rapidly growing company and they make sometime errors in the firmware.
Probably you run into too.

TL866II problems after update firmware
I have a TL866II plus XGecu, and last week I update the firmware with the last version, 9.16 .
After this I have problems with flash AM29400BB, I didn't test with another one.
If I copy from the original the ecu stop, no communications, nothing.
And when I am reading the original, I must disable ID checker.
This is happened after update the firmware.
Someone is having this problem?Jeferson

your tl866 is original one?.......
they had make clones of this cheap tool.....
