Well, I'm giving it a shot. Just read ELV and BCM2 and I'll continue tomorrow.

Making progress. I went by the car this evening, made the Dealer key with VVDI2, using BCM2 and ELV data. The Key Learning was a pain because the damn BCM refused to wake up and go into diagnostic mode. I bridged the two circuit 15 relays, unplugged and plugged the BCM, went to start it's dumping routine and once it was awake, I quickly switched back to Key Learning. Lo and behold, it learned the key and turned the car on with "SAFE" displayed in the cluster . Tomorrow I'll go back and use the ECU dump to actually start it. Although I'm sorely tempted to attempt to disable the immo in the ECU.

Hmmmm... Continental ECU, so I guess logging can bus it is, LOL!

    Well done!

    Ecu dump is useless!
Look at the third step on vvdi2.
You need to connect to internal can on the car!

In a holding pattern right now. The car doesn't have a CVT, I can't read Audi SIMOS 18, which VVDI2 says is required in that case, so the ECU was sent out to a guy who can read it. I'll resume when the ecu and file are returned.

I tried connecting to the can bus at the ABS then to each bus at the BCM. Absolutely no joy. And still this guy refuses to tow the car to the dealer, so we sent the ECU out.

He has to order the key if he has paperwork for the car.
You can learn it no problem.

Car had 1 working key and you tried to add extra one, is it right? The message you got is strange because when you have working key, you should never need to disconnect BCM power during procedure.
