Beware buying on ebay or amazon, it's a crap shoot. lots of fake rubbish, some damgerous. Go to a repitable web site iParts4U or replacebase, they usaully have there company name on the battery, so it makes sense that the batts decent..Bought a couple and so far so good..

For Samsung phones, you can enter the secret code and check the health of the battery
*#0228# - Battery status (ADC, RSSI reading) other codes to check your phone https://mobilespecs.net/phone/codes/...Galaxy_S9.html

I always test them before. Brand new xiaomi 400mAh when charged with 2.5A and discharged with 2 have cca 3500mAh. but i kill them still often by the insane quickcharge and thermal mods. The modfeern chemistries are much less flammable. An overcharged xiaomi battery just smoked a bit, an discharged old nokia /5 years old/ made a meter fireball...Just threw in a nail. Probably thats the cause of worse capacity and lifetime of new ones. I get 55 degC during charging without issue.

Is it possible to replace a smartphone battery nowadays? I feel like I changed cellular device every two year because of lag and system issues. I am lucky if my phone last for 3 years.
