Upload here ecu flash and eeprom.
Hi all,
First post, but been reading so many posts from here over a year or so. I love tinkering with cars and am a software developer by trade (although not embedded for my day to day).
I purchased a Golf V GTI (2005) and the key has been stolen (only 1). I have replaced the barrel from another car and have it all working except the immo. I have purchased some new transponders and some tools bdm100 / vagtacho. The VagTacho I have shows wrong seed key when trying to connect to the dash. The dash is the top of the line and so different from my other GTI's. Has the full red screen.
I am able to get the full ECU dump flash/eeprom. Is there a way to retrieve the SKC/Pin required by VCDS to program the transponder with the key?
It seems most people go for immo off, but the ECU / DASH are the original, only the key needs programming.
Thanks.

post the full ecu dump flash and eeprom from med9.1 like morgano said !
than we can help you with the SKC/Pin
KESS3, KESS V2 and KTAG Original , ECM Titanium Genuine, CarProg V13.19, Flex Full
Med 9.1 can be done EEprom only, That could be a micronas cluster log in data wont help you much vcds if micronas you need to make a dealer key you can PM me ill help you, I would caution you going for immo off if alarm goes active and you dont have a remote coded or coded transponder you can have problems
Hi guys,
Thanks for the responses. One of my children has been sick for a week, so sorry about the delay.
File is here http://www.macroworx.com/BlueECU.zip
From what I can see when I swapping barrel the cluster has a VDO sticker on the bottom of it. So I am guessing not micronas?
Still trying to get my head around all these cluster combinations.

So from all my research this security key won't help me? I need the 4 digit code from VDO dash to reprogram the new transponder? This code is used in an ECU swap or Dash swap only.
Ecu and dash should share unique car pin code.
There was never a 4 digit code. All codes are 5 digits. Older ones (Immo 3)have leading 0 and 4 digit. Later ones (Immo4) use all 5 digits. Up to 06/2006 you can use empty megamos and learn to dash. If dash is manufactured after 06/2006 you need to precode the megamos with 7byte CS

Thanks for the information guys. Sorry, I know they were 5 digit, by 4 I meant the ones that start with 0. Didn't know that was just for immo3. Ok so just googled the CS very cool to know. So a transponder programmer would be required to precode that. Good to know. Might actually look at getting the small vvdi for that.
I got my transponders today.
All seems good with those.
Following the VCDS instructions to recode key in the security I enter 35797 and get a error 35, key rejected by controller.
Your MED9 is crypto already.
Here is the correct data:

Thank you so much worked perfectly. One transponder all coded. So next learning question as I probably won't do it. But this car had an AXX engine and I have swapped for a BWA, I know from research that the ECU will run it but obviously different tunes as the AXX is a different compression ratio. I have a spare BWA ECU can I put this ecu in the car and copy over the immo data and eeprom (from the AXX ecu) and it all should work? Also the coding obviously but I think they are the same anyway.
