Samsung s9,can't get link in email to go to site??

Samsung s9,couple of silly little things that drive me to distraction with this phone,any help would be appreciated.In any email client(gmail or sansung client)if i press a link in an email it 'thinks' about gojng to the site in the link,but at the last second goes back to the email client,great fun!!
And using ebay mostly,or any other site can i set desktop view as standard,going to press 'classic site' for Ebay,or 'desktop' view hundreds of times in a month gets very,very boring!!
