Default Which eeprom programmer to use???

    Hello all,

i,m totally new to eeprom read/write. I would like to read the eeprom from my Kawasaki z1000 2004 odo meter. I found much information at this forum. And i would like to try to read and save the data from my odo meter. I found so many eeprom programmers that i lost track of it.

i,m looking for a programmer that can r/w 93c56 eeprom. I found this one at aliexpress that should be compatible with the 93c56. Anyone here has Some exprience with this programmer? Or can recommend a affordable programmer.

    Here is the link:http://s.aliexpress.com/ru22UrYV

    thank you!

This programmer will do the job.Take it .
But if you clip it on the board ,maybe you will have bad reading.
Always is better to desolder the chip, read it,post dump here and someone will fix it for you.
Take some old board and try on soldering/desoldering.
Or find someone in your area to do the job.

    Good luck!

Does that mean you have been successful reading and writing chips in circuit?

Have you tried any other programmer?

Thanks! I’ve ordered the ezp2019 on Ali so I’ll have to wait for a year before I can continue my project 😂. But in the mean time I dit some research and downloaded a few bin files on this forum. I compared them using a online hex editor and found the lines which contains the mileage. Edited them and tried to upload them to carprog-online. And they were recognized properly. So I’ve become a long way. Hopefully everything wil resume as expected. I’ keep you updated!
