Basequestions about tuning

Hi !

Ive been interest in this for a long time and has some questions.

For personal use, can i buy a clone and get files here for example Stage 1 ? I see many search for help with maps and many are helping them out with files
Or can i connect to one of many filedatabases that you pay to get credits for stage 1 maps ?

What is the best startup set or tool in the cheaper pricerange ?
Maybe start with a clone just to try this out and then maybe buy a original one. From start i want finished files or help to remap files, but when experience growing maybe adjust things by my self.

I have some cars at home and friends to that i want to try to flash with for example Stage 1 and CracknPop map.
