Mazda IDS and Tactrix Openport J2534

Hello guys,

I have a Tactrix Openport interface which works perfectly and fast with Techstream.
I read on the compatibility list that this interafce is also compatible with:
- Mazda IDS
- Ford IDS
- Honds HDS
- JLR

Any one have some info/experience with these OEM software running with Tactrix Openport and how to install?

Hello there,ive managed to get it working with forscan,very simple,seems like a nice diagnosis,but you have to pay a few euro to got all working coding adaptations,etc(You can activate a month free full trial)...
IDS-Couldnt connect
Now im trying to get it work with odis,it recognises that its connected to the car but doesnt recognise ignition and cannot access any component?
Did you managed something?

- Techstream (very fast)
- JLR
- Forscan

Hello Ali,

It works with all versions of Techstream. Just install Techstream, install Tactrix drivers and select the correct interface in Techstream VIM setup.
Will check later the version of JLR I have installed.

I also order it from AliExpress. Revision E, Full chip etc...
JLR version 158 is installed on my laptop.

I tried to make it work for Nissan but could not succeed.

Tactrix Open Port only have K-Line and CAN bus (no VPW and PWM hardware) hardware on board. So except on very OLD model Toyota's you will be able to diagnose all systems on newer cars.

And yes... it should also work with:
- Mercedes Xentry
- BMW ISTA

But I did not try it...
For Mercedes I use Part D with version 09.2013 for older cars and SDConnect with 10.2019 for newer models. Just installed Xentry 06.2020, still have to test it.
For BMW I use the famous K+DCAN with ISTA/Ediabas. Works perfect for diagnose functions.

use forscan free window version with openport 2.0 adaptor or elm327 adaptor.
