    Default Here comes the shutdown

COVID-19 is definitely starting to bite now. Speaking to car dealers who are saying sales have fell through the floor in the last week. Car auctions will probably close, UK flights at risk, schools will close next week.

Car keys will be well down the list of priorities as a lot of work places will close

Interesting but scary times ahead 😱🦠

Does the factory closure will stop people form losing keys? Doubt it.
I can’t see the whole UK will be locked down either. People will still travel etc. I can agree dealers may have some troubles recently but tbh people may have more on their heads than buying new cars.

But... personally got one booking canceled just today. Guy messaged me yesterday saying he have fever and cough . Thanks God he didn’t came

Any other locksmiths out there check out my video.

Car key prices have to go up now as I'm having big problems getting stock.
I wonder when Silca stock will run out?

Trouble is, you just don't know what you are going to.
The inside of a car has lots of nice shiny surfaces that could have been unknowingly contaminated by the driver or passenger.
Are you going to wipe down the inside of every job before you start?

I foreseen stock going up with shutdown of China so I stock piled a lot of what I use.

UK is expected to be in lockdown soon enough, they already are talking about martial law.

I do tend to disinfect everything I touch these days tho and when I get in my van I disinfect everything I’m going to touch.

Best advice to all- stay away from panic driven people. They will do things that they would never consider doing in "normal" times.

i think uk will be in lock down quicker than many imagine , and alot of small businesses will go to the wall , better that than death though.

ive read people moaning about selfish customers who have some symptons still calling locksmiths out in case they need their car , yet the locksmiths calling them selfish are attending multiple cars each day not knowing if infected and infecting many more , so any lockdown is going to prevent you trading and so it should if things get to that point

it will also be interesting to know the legal position , if a locksmith can be proven to have infected someone , would they have a claim against the locksmith ? i can just see it now when this settles down , " was you infected by a known business , if so the let us get you compensation , no win no fee " , we have after all become a claim culture.

so can you prove you take all reasonable precautions to protect yourself and your customers ? should the shit hit the fan.

Instead of cleaning everything everyday. Which would drive all people nuts in the end.

An Ozone generator is proven to take out the SARS virus in earlier research. Corona is in the same family.
So if you connect up this one, every evening in the van. It should be sterilized within 30minutes. But you can leave it for hours also. Doesn't hurt.
This is used on rental cars these days. To avoid any spreading of the Corona to new users of the vehicle.

The only thing, the vehicle needs to have the doors/windows open 30-45 minutes after the Ozone generator treatment.
This is because it will damage the lungs of the passengers if going into the vehicle with closed windows. And just driving away.
When used I keep the windows opened about 15-20 minutes to get in some fresh air.

Any bad smell will disappear. Like smoking, dog smell. Puke. Or some kid had an accident in the seat. Or mold. Need to remove the cause of the smell first though.

I even read about one person, writing about he thought he's got the Corona virus. Fever and lungs started to feel heavy.
Started up his ozone generator inside a plastic bag or something. Then took a huge breath of air(ozone) from the plastic bag.
And felt better after a short time, fever disappeared. Lungs started to behave more normal ect.
Wouldn't recommend though. But maybe when everything else fails, its worth a try.

Ozone generator is also good to use in houses with mold etc.

If you have some clothes, which is used when doing workout and training. Which smells like shit. Even if the are new washed.
Just take a huge garbage plastic bag. And put shoes, socks and clothes inside. And start up the ozone generator. And close the bag properly.
And all bacteria's is gone within a short time.
Recommended to do this outside of the home. To avoid any damaged to the lungs.

Can’t see any claims going in Rapid

    Where would it stop ?
How could they prove who infected who and on what day ?

Scary times when you look at Italy’s outbreak. We are 2-3 weeks behind them but as sure as Monday follows Sunday it’s coming
