yes if you don't want to touch the program of the flash it don't make sens to get the flash, but if you want to update the flash version you will definitely need to get it it.
In my case it's only the eeprom area which interests me (VIN and mileage) as my SW version is already correct.

You don't understand what I'm trying to tell you. If you keep doing this work you will learn it the hard way one day no worries. good luck to you with your mileage.

I got your point of damaging the flash by trying to read it but what I tell is that in my case I don’t have to read it do you agree?

    Default checksum or not?

All entries are summed together and as count goes up next higher byte is injected into start of matrix area and process goes on). I made a matrix counter in excel which can do the job, so feel free to upload the 2KB here and the amount of KM required. I won't share this formula because not one person helped me figure this stuff out on here. Can change also the whole VIN area, I tested last night but nobody help me with that either but I will offer to make a change for part of the VIN for you which is enough for good functioning.
Hi Wod is there any checksum to do on the file after update or not?
because I've updated my file on dash but after test only belt led gets on, I'think there is a check sum adjustment needed...
Can you have a look on my file (I've attached original and new one)

    thanks

    Hi Freezzby,
So Where is this SSS you're mentioning?
Mine is a little bit older it's HW09 and SW19.
Attached is my flash, but I remember have been going through the forum and found the HW 10 SW 20 (see attached)

    thanks

    Talking Dash done!

    Finally got all fixed,

The flash data were not complete reason of having the dash not starting ( attached is the flash for HW09 SW19) with xprog.
For the KM to Miles I've analized a combination of miles and km Dash EEPROM and changed the hex data that were uncommon on both sides and got it fixed. (attached you will be able to find the miles and km version, then you should understand how to go from one to another)

Thanks all if you helped or if you were just looking for help
