Cloning EDC17CP14 - OTP Area calculation?

Hi@all

I have a EDC17CP14 with damaged Controller. I have to clone this but because of OTP Area the new one has Immobilizer Active. The clone works, but only with Immo-off. The big Problem is: I can't use the firmware of the new one because it's coding isn't correct (DSG not 6 Gear Transmission).

Is there someone who can calculate my old Firmware for the new OTP or can someone solve the Coding Problem in Flash?

Workaround Solution for now: Flashed the new ECU with Flash from old one and EEPROM from new one. That's keeps the ESP and ABS lamps off, Car has full power, ImmoOff works without Immo Active warning. Only Error that lasts til now is something with Coding. In VCDS coding says 000000 instead of 000172 and shows coding error if we will change as before.

I hope i can help someone with the same problem.

Actually i'am looking for the Section in Flash which contents the coding. If i can set this manually, i think its solved.

AVDI also can't write the OTP Area, we have AVDI testet with no luck

No tool can write OTP area
But AVDI should have a tool inside for clone the dumps eep and flash

If You are good at soldering and have the right tools You can just swap Processor and EEPROM and it will work first try...

Mate if your knowledge about "OTP area" is what you said here i kindly advice you not to touch any other ecu and move to other play field. Let professionals do that work.

We have decryted the Eeprom Data and could change the Coding. Problem solved. Car is working now without errors and the coding is perfect now. My knowledge about otp area is very well. I know that OTP is fused Area which get burned after first time writing. I know also that it is impossible to rewrite. Because of that i had asked initially what i can do to clone ecu with OTP old and written.

I'am Developer in a big electronic Concern. I'am very well with tricores not only in Cars.

Is there someone who can calculate my old Firmware for the new OTP or can someone solve the Coding Problem in Flash? -> That's my initially question. Somyone says that AVDI can do the job, i only asked why because writing OTP is impossible. Please don't change my words.

Soldering tricore with Grid Array in EDC17cp14 models is not always working because of heat-sensitivity. We have 10ecu soldered where 2 does not work after. You have to heat up complete Board about 100°...

For us it's only a emergency solution...

Yes I know about difficulty here. This is why i mentioned skills and equipment.
