2015 Toyota Avensis facelift model

Hi

I have a July 2015 face-lift model Avensis and wonder if someone could answer my question.
The camera/lane detection system throws up an error fairly regularly during Winter that vision is blocked and system is temporary unavailalbe.
I've read these have been replaced under warranty with a unit with a built in heater, the question i have is if i get one from a scrap yard from a newer model (which have been upgraded) and replace it. Will i have to have it coded to the car or would it be just plug and play and will it have to be calibrated?
