    Default audi a4 roof problem

2007 reg. When operating convertible roof. It goes back and boot lid goes up, but at this stage all stops. I tried a new roof module, motor, frame sensor and checked most of the wiring. Has anyone had this problem before and can help. The roof will close electronically but always stops at this stage When opening.

Does it throw a fault code?
Live data on switches, need to keep your eyes open on those 1 and zeros
Wiring is ''always' bad in a shitbox 13 years old
If in need for switches or parts, there are plenty of peugeots/renaults at the scrapyard
Same webasto roof on all,Don't ask
A failure will not appear till a unit has passed final inspection

Ok, if you can find a dealer that is open, ask them to tweet, fax, telex an exploding diagram
    of all the switches.

so, lets look at this logically whilst my pizza burns in the oven

its a “skip lorry” or even think of it like a washing machine (water, heat, spin, empty)

so when t’ trunk lid goes back, what tells the control unit

“‘ey up chuck, t’ lid on full kilter”

    Sorry lost interest right now

    This is easy mate.
Watch this video and see how the different switches change value as the softtop goes from closed to open.
There will be a point on your car where the switches stop moving because the process has been interrupted.

All you have to do is check on the video and see which switch should have changed value next but didn't, and that will be your problem.
