It is not a straightforward decode. It is more of a calculation which is found in the manual. So to be sarcastic shows your level ubwillingness to help other and not even offering any other suggestions.

    Decoded first time. No calculation
.just wrote down the decode and put into instacode which generated my cut code.

    Maybe I was lucky

Seems pretty straight forward to me. You pick and decode the wafers present in door lock, then fill in the ones that are not.

What is there to calculate? You mean fill in the missing cuts? Anyone who cuts keys for a living and does not have access to a fill program should reassess their business.

I am not getting into any war with anyone. Because to get it into instacode you need to know difference between wafer A2 and B2 when they are in the same space and even following the manual A and B are not the same side throughout. So for you to JUST WRITE DOWN THE DECODE AND PUT INTO INSTACODE says a lot. Anyone using lishi 2 in 1 I would recommend the manual because without it I would not have been able to many HON66, not just 1 last week.

To say get a manual doesn’t do much it’s a bit like ones struggling with aspects of a tool and telling them to read the manual. They have but are still stuck or they wouldn’t be on here asking questions.

I have Lishi, manuals and instacode. I posted here to see if there were any tricks of the trade like sequence picking, decoding etc.

Not to worry a veteran locksmith has sorted me out with info and it’s much appreciated.

Not a straight forward lock if not used to doing them but like the rest I’ll crack it

Thank you for all the POSITIVE replies 👍🏻

Dont know about your Lishi but mine says side A and side B on each wafer, so you simply write decode 1A 1B 2A 2B and enter into instacode.

Like i said, maybe i was lucky, i was worrying about it as i usually buy honda codes but the code suppliers were all closed so i used lishi.

you wasnt lucky , the tool makes it clear what track and wafer you are working on , but door lock doesnt contain all wafers so instacode or another fill program is required to fill in the blanks , or if you have an ignition enabled tool you can fill the gaps by picking and decoding the ignition lock.

there is no set sequence , so its picking what binds in their binding order , when lock picks for the 1st time it will turn approx 30 degrees , continue the tension and picking the remaining binding wafers , it will pick a 2nd time and turn to 45 degrees at which point its open and can be decoded , to reset lock back to upright , remember the last 2 or 3 wafers you picked to open it the 2nd time as its these that must be repicked to reset the lock. on most in uk to pick open is anti clockwise.

the pick arms are clearly marked axis A and axis B to id which axis you are decoding , decode in the same direction as you picked .

remember the key rules , though these are only relevent on oem locks , aftermarket locks do not always follow the rules .

position 6 will always be a 1 cut on both A and B axis

position 5 on the A axis should always be a 3 or a 5 cut

position 5 on the b axis will always be a 5 cut for the master key or a 2 cut for the valet key

    when using the 2in1 pick , you wont find any wafer in the door lock for positions ;
A axis nothing in positions 1-5 and 6
B axis nothing in position 6

so when decoding you will have a decode on A axis of *233** and on the B axis 22335*

you know position 6 is a 1 on both axis , so you would enter into instacode A axis ?233?1 and B axis 223351 , and in find bitting it should find the key options for your decode.

but some aftermarket locks do not follow the same rules .

the direct reader makes this easier as no need to pick the lock first .

if trying to pick the ignition then an ignition enabled tool is required , the ignition will give more wafer readings , the direct reader wont get full insertion in ignition

Code will always have a letter then Numbers

Example L389. I usually clean lock then use a black sharpy to color over area with code... code is stamped on very lightly the sharpy helps to contrast the area making it easier to see code... In USA Hondas usually have code stamped. Acura sometimes..
