Thanks clusters, I agree - bets to be able to compare with successful modifications of files.
However, in this case, did you see my picture of the Freelander? It was burnt to the ground.
I was very lucky to be able to pull the eeprom off the burnt cluster and get a good read at all. I'm trying to determine what the kms were before the car went up in smoke.
My limited experience with odometer algorithms is failing me, so I'm hoping the experience of DK can help.
brend and kinketotua helped by telling me 181,46 kms. But I hope to understand how. Thanks again for any help.

I think I have just cracked this M356080 eeprom in the freelander 2 cluster. I bought a used cluster and worked on that.
But I could only confirm my algorithm by using your result from my earlier bin file as a proof.
Its like a BMW cluster M35080 algorithm, but 1. the multiplier is different, and 2. the tens of kms counter is slightly different.

Big thanks to you kinketotua and brend! Your answer helped me alot! Thanks again.

So if anyone else needs a hand to solve a LR M35080 odometer, will be happy to help...
