You do not have to do that . This is the file for Opcom HQ Clone. You possibly need to change drivers, but only if the software asks for activation. Just install newer software and if you want to take the risk, connect the interface to your laptop, then run the software, test and diagnose your chosen car. In case of Opcom 15xxxxxEN your FW 1.59 should automatically change to FW 1.64. (Of course if your PIC is real)
The risk is yours, so have fun.

    Opcom 08 2010-FW 1.39
    Vauxcom 12, Fake 14,16- FW 1,45
    Opcom Advanced 161001a Fw 1.65
    Opcom 17xxxxx FW 1,66
    Opcom 18, 20xxxx FW 1.67

So .. I didn't know that Opcom software will update anything and I did use Ocflash and upgraded to 1.67 manually.
Should I downgrade now to let opcom do the thing ?

    I did flash that opcom now 3 times 1.59 -> 1.67 -> 1.41 and back to 1.67
I reverted to 1.41 and used version 15EN by Fantomel to check if there will be any auto firmware update, but it didn't try to do that, so I flashed back to 1.67 manually.
What I've noticed is that latest version by Fantomel (20EN?) has broken "Test Interface" function - it simply don't react (nothing happening when you click on it).

It means you have an interface with a real PIC 18F458.

For the automatic FW update to take place, you need to do an "interface test" or initiate diagnostics of a module, for example an engine. But since you already have FW 1.67, leave it like that.
(I broke one Opcom with lots of FW changes)

In the software 200603a, the interface checking option does not work.

Just one more question - do you know if that fake OPCOM from aliexpres can be repaired?
I know that there is proper PIC needed and I need to remove C22 and D5, but some time ago, I've seen somewhere that there is also wire link needed between two points? I had no opcom on that time yet, so I didn't care to save that link.
Another thing is that even if I will fix the hardware - will it work just like that?
I would rather expect I need to flash bootloader to new PIC first. Or maybe there is bootloader by default?

You would have to solder a real PIC 18F458, remove D5, C22 and make new connections. Additionally program the PIC using an external programmer. Unfortunately, I also don't have any instructions.

Only very old version of opcom software can read the car PIN from ECU.
It was version 10... or something like that. This means your car may be not supported.

I had similar problem with my Corsa D ecoflex - What helped was cheap CH341A eeprom peogrammer and little tool called OSCR (to be found on this forum I believe).
You need to take off your genuine radio, and open it, you have to get access to eeprom chip - in some models PCB and eeprom is just under the top lid.
In others you need to take CD mechanism off.
You don't need to unsolder the chip - you need just to use crocodile clip with ribbon attached to CH341 (they are sold as set together).
You read your eeprom from radio, and save it as file. You load the file to OSCR and it displays your code (and some other information obtained from radio).

As I remember OSCR you can find with google. I would also suggest you to look for reading PIN from opel radio or something like that. \

For me cost of code extraction was something around 8 quid - not too much, and I have programmer that I can use for other occasions.

I read the immo PIN from the engine control unit in Opel Vectra C 1.9 CDTI 150PS (2007y) and Opel Astra G (2002y) 1.8 petrol.

I used Fantomels Opcom 110530a Advanced and 161001a Advanced. I could only do this once. To read the pin again I had to wait some time but I was successful.

Recently I did try to use Advanced version of OPCOM and I know that Fantomel told users to go every time to settings and set the interface type to B and then go to Diagnostics and try K-line connection, but from some reason interface type selection is gone, and I cant select it. Despite of that, interface seams to react (I hear relay clicks), but second step is also weird - To be honest, I have no idea how to initiate K-like connection, and without that nothing works. Of course version PRO works perfectly - no problems at all.
