I did it based on another file I have for 2019 Maxima, but I keep getting Control Unit and Crash code. Attached is crash and my attempt to erase it.

Hi there! Are you sure that is an ABS file? For me is looking strange... What is the device you did read it?

    I read with CPT. This is the second 19 Maxima I'm doing. Here are the files from the first one I did last month and it worked fine;

For me, this ones readed on Apr 27 (and lastest posted) looks like a real ABS files. I still insist that the first files you posted here are wrong. Can you please read them again?

Of course you can't... I'm now realized that you already had write on top the file you corrected. Let me think for a solution...

So, I come back with a try. I used your file + what I have in my computer, trying to compile a file for you. There is no guarantee, but I have high hopes.
    Test and report.

    Fingers crossed!

Really appreciate you taking your time to help me. With your file I still have the 1414 control unit code and 1423 crash recorded

I even tried to program the file from the other maxima I have and I get the same 2 errors.

When I program the original file back in, even tho you say it looks incorrect, I only get the 1423 crash recorded code, nothing else

I'm just gonna tell the customer to buy a new module, unless I think of something over the weekend

I'm really sorry that it wasn't helpful. The reason I told you that the file looks wrong for me is that the info is stored in the second half of memory. That's not normal, and more than that, is looking like the info is messed up. The cause for this can be a defective flash memory or a wrong algorithm of the script for reading/writing. Assumed that the file was corrupted during the reading, I tried to correct the file by re-arranging the info as it supposed to be. The fact that you still can't see the module is telling me that the ECU don't see de correct identification when interrogating the module and that's because the module either cant read correctly the memory (and that the reason you read a messed up file) or it can read correctly but during the writing process, the file (despite the fact it was corrected before) is wrong allocated inside the flash.

Anyway, that not give me any explanation about why the computer sees the module when you use the original file...

In order to eliminate any doubt that the module is defective or not, you should do a little test: Try to write a file to the module, start-stop the car and then read (extract) the file. Comparing these two files (before and after writing/reading) should give an idea about how good is the module.
    - If the files are identical, then the writing-reading process is ok and that indicates that our algorithm of removing crash is a wrong one and should be revised.
    - If the files are not identical, then it may be the case that the module is defective.

After I write the original crash back in and test the car, I read it again and compare to the file I read the first time and it is the same. That would mean probably we are doing something wrong. I am trying to ask around other people, if I will find a solution I'll make sure to upload the fixed file.

With this file I have no communication with module. I write the original crash in and I can communicate.

EDIT: I had issues with the scanner. Your file had crash and control module code still.

    I'm happy for you! Congrats!
Looking at the file is remembering to me that anything is possible. It's, for me, the strangest airbag file so far, as the structure is very uncommon. Not to say that the algorithm of crash removing has nothing to do with other Nissan cars...
Good job and thanks for letting us know the result. I learned something new today!
