The solution is to keep ori cas and dsc. use ista and it will autodetect the proper sw for this ecu.

I didn't notice yet that you swapped an N18 engine for an N14 engine. You need the ZB-nr of an N14 Cooper S then.

I always have trouble finding the correct ZB-nr for N14. Normally I would let ISTA/P do it but in your case (An N14 engine in a car that came with an N18 engine), that will not work.

    Try 8601564

If you keep everything original you can even keep FSC and have JCW software, but the JCW N14 VIN has to be in all modules. But apparently all modules were already swapped and he wants to change VIN.

Forget ISTA, it will never work on a car with N14 engine but LCI radio, airbag module etc. This is just not a combination that is supported by ISTA.
By the way, the DSC module just has to match the DSC sensor, but otherwise it can be swapped at random.

Never read that radio is changed. Ista p detects sw according to vo. In this case i think that something is not real. Anyway if all modules are from n18 then should just change vo from jcw to cooper s and use istaP. This is the best solution. Otherwise use cooper s ecu.

The point is that this 2011 car now contains an engine from 2007, so unless ALL modules from the 2007 car are used, (including radio, airbag, jbe etc), ISTA will never work.
This car is a mess anyway, so why care about this little detail wheter ISTA can be used?

The problem is change engiine to jcw and all instalation.
Then the owner tell me need change VIN because in chassis appears vin cooper S.
Now I update all modules with winkfp, and when I update a CCC with number 9185624, now the display only appears mini logo and not start radio.

    THanks.

If the car has CCC, why would you ever want to have VIN WMWSV31010TY70541 in there? It's from an LCI without navigation...
So we have the following VINs:

    Donor ECU: WMWMF91000TF78939
    New VIN: WMWSV31010TY70541

What is the actual VIN of the car? Why do you want VIN WMWSV31010TY70541 in the ECU if the car is a pre-LCI with navigation??

The VIN you want to have in there is for an LCI without navigation, and you want to update the pre-LCI navigation. Something indeed does not sound very real.

You can’t without icom. Impossible with kdcan cable. Anything else we say is waste of time.
