AUDI A6 MMI 2G BOSE CP

Hi guys i have my audi a6 c6 2005 with bose. my interface unit just dead. so I've replaced with same part number as mine but seller said its from q7. but anyway its powered up navi works but no sound playing. so i presume its got component protection. i have my old unit i can read eeprom from both. how can i sort it? many thanks
