FVDI 2014-15 HOW TO KNOW IF IT IS FROM FLY?

i buy a fvdi 2014-15 (it looks like new), it is possible to know if it is original by fly?

It doesn't look like fly. Most of Fly have the fly name on the label, up ahead the id serial. I have the variant from your pictures, 2014, and is pretty stable.

I was looking for the early version of fvdi, and I found this, so you think this is not original tool from fly...... The PCB looks good....

Original tool is AVDI. The rest of all are clones, named FVDI. During time, appeared clone producers like FLY or STIC.
Hit the search button on DK and you will see many discutions about this clone. I have the earlyer fvdi clone(2014 like yours), bought 4years ago and is better than v2018 from STIC...

i had read that threads for clone fvdi..... that's why i am looking for the first version from fly... but i am not sure if this is from fly or clone of the clone....

very easy .use FWGenerator3.4 from forum and read ID.if you have ID same EXXXXX is from fly,if have ID 00000 is clone of clone.

i found it here in DK and i run it...... but i think is with bug....

as been said above avdi is original
fvdi from fly is clone
fvdi from china is clone from clone
your clone is the same as many others that work stable

Thanks, I know that the AVDI is the original one, and I know the price too........

I was looking for a good clone from fly, I think is the only one that makes clone from AVDI, the other's make clone from fly....(the first clone)

So I guess my fvdi is a clone of the clone of fly.....

Now a silly question, is possible to connect with fly server(without brick my tool?)

i wouldnt trust to try to connect to fly server i think it would brick it

I think that 2014 software is not upgradeable, so no need for connecting FLY server.

thanks, so my general question remains......... it is from fly? very first generation, or is a clone of the fly clone?

don't rejoice too soon.if it works on MS CAN, try to connect on the cluster instrument to an Astra H,or try to find out CS and PIN at EDC17
