Mini cooper -40 ambient temperature

Hi! I have a mini cooper 2006 1.4 diesel. Ambient/outside temperature is reading -40 and ac is not working. Sensor replaced with a new one nothing changed. I would like to know where are the sensors wire going. A wiring diagram of the ambient temperature sensor wiring or any possible solution would be useful.

Attached is the diagram for the ambient temperature sensor to cluster. And also connector location on the cluster.
