Hi Guys,

I have a question regarding the EEPROM in my GID (Meriva A, 2009).

Short story leading to my question:
I bought a used, undivorced display and wanted to get the pincode out of the EEPROM.
I removed the EEPROM with two soldering irons (easier to remove ICs). After this process I found out that one of the irons has (I suppose) an insulation defect and the tip was under voltage. I measured with a multimeter an increasing voltage starting from zero up to around 80V AC (!!!) - measured against ground/the other grounded tip. I also tested the source current of the tip with the ampere meter function and the current tents towards zero (so hopefully the board of the Display is not defective).

Back to my question:
Is it possible to get the display back working, if I buy a new empty EEPROM and flash the bin data from another car on it?

Best regards
