ZGW emu work perfect with CGDI for W209, 211, 169.

W164 you need power adapter to work: http://www.fvdiobd.com/cgdi-prog-mb-ac-adapter.html

Bro if you want to read it on bench, you need the gateway. You need original Gateway or the one that is sold on ebay (some kind of gatewat emulator).

    Good Luck

yes you can collect data with ir reader with a gateway from another car, you have to know the pinout, CGDI uses a specific pinout different from VVDI MB

Do you use this diagram without ZGW but with AC adapter? What year your W164? Old or NEW?
